Mueller Industries makes copper, brass, aluminum, and plastic components sold primarily to plumbing, HVAC, and industrial manufacturers. Its three segments are:
1. Piping Systems (largest): tubes, fittings, valves, and rods used in plumbing and fluid-handling applications 2. Climate: valves, heat exchangers, and coiled tubes used in air conditioning and refrigeration equipment 3. Industrial Metals: brass rod, copper bar, and machined brass components for industrial applications
Customers are mostly other manufacturers and distributors rather than end consumers. The company earns revenue by manufacturing and selling these components across the US, UK, Canada, Mexico, Asia, and the Middle East.
