Honeywell makes and services industrial hardware and software across four areas: aerospace equipment (cockpit systems, engines, avionics), building controls (HVAC, security, fire), industrial automation (sensors, process controls, safety equipment), and energy/sustainability technology (materials, refrigerants, equipment for cleaner energy). Customers include airlines, defense contractors, manufacturers, commercial building owners, and oil and gas companies. Revenue comes from selling equipment and, increasingly, from aftermarket parts, maintenance, and software subscriptions — roughly a third of sales are recurring service revenue.
